Hedgehoppers Anonymous were a 1960s beat group from the United Kingdom. Jonathan King took over their record production in 1965, and added "Anonymous" to their name. Their major success was the King produced and written "It's Good News Week". In 1996 used as the theme music for a comedy quiz show on the Australian television. In late 1966 future Crazy World of Arthur Brown organist Vincent Crane played with the group briefly as well as future Nice bass player Lee Jackson . Four other singles were released by the group before the first incarnation dissolved. Lack of further chart activity leaves them labelled as one-hit wonders. Tinsley and Martin toured Sweden and Lapland in 1967 with bass player Howard Livett and a new guitar player but broke up soon after. Tinsley launched a solo career and wrote music for amongst others Kelly Marie and Joe Dolan. Laud is now running a bar in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol, Spain. Tinsley is still singing and recording. Glenn Martin took the band's name in early 1968 with singer Phil Tunstall as The Hedgehoppers Revived. The remaining members carried on into 1972 before drummer Honeyman died in a car accident, effectively splitting the band.
