RARE BEAT - GARAGE ROCK AND PSYCHEDELIC
THE SECOND CITY SOUND
Records are not for sale - For your viewing pleasure only
A group from Birmingham, known for their number 22 hit single Tchaikovsky One.
Their only record worthwhile mentioning, it sounded very modern for 1965. But at least a number that went on to have an influence
on the music industry. Ken Freeman might not have been able to afford that ultra-desirable Mellotron,
but he went on to build and market synths of his own, creating the Freeman String Symphonizer.
He also worked with Mike Oldfield and Jon Anderson, and perhaps most notably of all Jeff Wayne on the "War of the Worlds" album.
MEMBERS:
Ken Freeman - Piano, Bank of Violins, Clavioline, Vocal
Bill Gilbert - Bass Guitar, Vocal
Alan Nicklin - Guitar, Vocal
Jenny Phillips - Vocal
Dave Walsh - Drums, Vocal
